By William S. White, and William Hoge, two volumes in one.
Captain White's life as related by his father, was an aspiring gospel minister who gave his life for his state. Captain Harrison was a pastor who personally raised Company K of the 56th Virginia infantry, and gave his life for principles he believed were true and honorable. Both of these memorial biographies were published during the war and are know as "Confederate imprints." They are extremely rare with the exception on this reprint.
